TMN (Telecommunications Management Network) Related Entries Web Links New/Updated Information Note: Many topics at this site are reduced versions of the text in "The Encyclopedia of Networking and Telecommunications." Search results will not be as extensive as a search of the book's CD-ROM. TMN is a management architecture defined by the ITU for managing equipment and services in telecommunications networks. As telecommunications networks became more distributed and less centralized in the 1990s, the carriers and the ITU began work on a management system that could be used administer multivendor telecommunications equipment.
