EtherTalk is an implementation of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 802.3 Ethernet standard for Apple Macintosh computers. EtherTalk adapters provided by Apple include media adapters for thin coaxial cable, twisted-pair cable, and fiber-optic cable. The cards are called the Ethernet NuBus (NB) card for Macintosh IIs or the Ethernet LC card for Macintosh LCs. An external adapter is also available for non-NuBus systems. It attaches to the SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) port.
