Container objects are part of a directory services structure such as NetWare Directory Services, a feature in Novell NetWare. Container objects hold other objects, including other containers, and so form branches in a hierarchical directory tree used to organize the user accounts and resources of an organization. Container objects usually represent the divisions or departments of a company, and contain the user accounts and resources belonging to the division or department. The managers or supervisors of the department have special management rights to the containers, which automatically give them rights to manage the objects within the container.
