Search results will not be as extensive as a search of the book's CD-ROM. The IETF PSTN/IN Requesting InTernet Services (SPIRITS) Working Group is developing specifications and protocols that describe how telephony services in IP networks can be started from the PSTN (public-switched telephone network) and IN (Intelligent Network) requests. ICW is being addressed by this working group and was a work in progress at the time of this writing. RFC 2995 (Pre-SPIRITS Implementations, November 2000) is dedicated to a discussion of Internet call waiting.
