GSMP (General Switch Management Protocol) is an Ipsilon protocol specification that is designed to control an ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switch. With GSMP, a controller can establish and release connections across the ATM switch, add and delete nodes on a point-to-multipoint connection, manage switch ports, request configuration information, and request statistics.
